So it’s been a while since I updated the 18 to 30 Project. Life has been hectic to say the least, and with our big move fast approaching, it’s likely things will slow down here on the blog for a little while. In the meantime I have three weeks worth of Hugo photos to share, so please bear with the over-load.
I am always amazed at the things which keep this boy interested. I never even imagined that an old style tele-dex could keep the kiddo sitting in one spot for more than a few minutes. Maybe it’s because it’s phone related. I mean Hugo will use just about anything as a phone. He’ll hold whatever it is to his ear, and say “alloo”, and then babble and babble and babble, but get an actual person on the other end of the line, and suddenly he is lost for words.
Our favourite park is always worth the walk (and the steep, uphill climb at the end). Hugo loves it there. The best thing about this park is the train. It’s just a wooden, stationary thing, but it does have a steering wheel, and two carriages for the “passengers”. I think boys have this inbuilt understanding of vehicles. We don’t often take the car, but somehow he has figured out that a wheel at the front of a vehicle is for driving. Then come the sounds. I don’t think I’ve ever made a train sound for him, but at the wheel of this train, he keeps busy steering, all the while saying “toot toot”! Too cute for words really.
The bath. One of the only places where Hugo is semi-still. I know I’ve already posted bath-time photos of this guy, but after chasing him around the apartment trying to get a shot, I gave in and plopped him into the tub. He always has a lot to do in the bath, which now includes brushing those little choppers. Can you tell he likes his bath?
